O.K. I guess "soon" is a pretty relative term, but I'm sure there's no doubt I've exceeded any and all time limits. I won't prattle on with excuses or beg forgiveness from my team mates or "coach" Carter. I would like to emphatically say that this is the best thing I've done for myself since becoming a Mom (Health Quest, not blogging)! I'm a perfectionist and a procrastinator -- bad combo-- I know, so I don't often feel good about things as I'm doing them and I put way too much emphasis on the finished product. In contrast to that reality, I really do believe in the process and the journey and I know all the right things to be doing for good health. I have a lot of "head" knowledge on living well and being healthy, but until Health Quest I hadn't really experienced the feeling of getting healthier, and I certainly hadn't enjoyed any of my solitary, self punishing methods in the pursuit of health. The joy of 5:00 a.m. morning workouts has utterly blown me away. I know I'm gushing, but the fellowship and camaraderie I've experienced with these wonderful women has been awesome. And I really hate to feed his ego; but, Carter is unlike any coach/trainer around. He is so encouraging and inspires such trust that you really believe you can do anything he asks. His knowledge base is incredible and his spirit is transforming. Yes, I'm still gushing and I have no idea if this is the intent of blogging but it's what I felt like sharing today. I could go on, but I must go pick up the joy of my life from pre-school. I promise to write again soon. Emily
